- Responsible forthe overall packaging activities in the department, managing goodsin and goods out, and dispatching orders to customers, ensuringfull compliance with the company Quality Manual and procedures aswell as to current Good manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Responsible for the purchasing and inventory of packaging materialsand finished products.
- Responsible for managing a teamof packaging operators handling various packing, picking anddispatching activities.
- Responsible for the warehouse,maximising space and safety.
- Responsible for allcurrent and new customers packaging relatedrequirements.
- Cooperating effectively with managersfrom other departments to ensure that customers' orders areprioritised, and quality standards are met.
- Proactivelyimplement new continuous improvement initiatives to increasedepartmental efficiency.
- Ensuring the work proceeds ina safe, orderly manner and the packing department, warehouse anddispatch areas are maintained in a clean and tidycondition.
- Organising yearly endstocktake.
- Deputise for staff reporting to the jobholder as required.
- Previous experience in packaging / dispatch/ warehousing is essential.
