Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Trainee Fire Risk Assessor to join our team.
The Trainee Fire Risk Assessor will work closely with experienced professionals to gain knowledge and skills in fire risk assessment.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of fire safety legislation and requirements, along with at least 5 years of experience in the fire safety industry, preferably in fire alarms or fire extinguishers.
They should be willing to receive training as a fire risk assessor, possess good communication skills, work well in a team, and have excellent calendar management.
A clean driving licence is required, and the candidate must be based in Peterborough but willing to travel. A company car will be provided for travel.Key Responsibilities:
Assist experienced fire risk assessors in conducting fire risk assessments.
Gain knowledge and skills in fire safety legislation and requirements.
Learn to identify fire hazards, assess fire risks, and recommend control measures.
Assist in preparing detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure assessments are completed efficiently and accurately.
Develop good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Manage calendars effectively to schedule appointments and assessments.
Maintain a clean driving licence and adhere to company policies while driving.
Be willing to travel to various locations for assessments and training.
Qualifications and Skills:
Basic understanding of fire safety legislation and requirements.
At least 5 years of experience in the fire safety industry, preferably in fire alarms or fire extinguishers.
Willingness to receive training as a fire risk assessor.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Excellent calendar management and organisational skills.
Clean driving licence.
Must be based in Peterborough and willing to travel.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
