    Description

    We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic leader and manager to join our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner with the ability to lead and manage the Business teaching team to deliver effective pastoral and curriculum provision. They will also be a highly effective and engaging teacher of Business.

    Business is part of our Faculty for Business, English and Law. The college offers a wide range of courses in this area, including A levels in Business and Accounting and CTEC Business at Level 2 and Level 3. The faculty has dedicated teaching and specialist spaces and supports a range of extra-curricular activities to enrich the taught curriculum. The team will commence T level delivery in the Business curriculum area from September 2025.

    Itchen College is a thriving Sixth Form College with a broad curriculum offer to meet the needs of the local community. The college is situated in pleasant surroundings to the east of Southampton with excellent local transport links. Ofsted inspected the college in December 2021, grading overall provision as Good with Outstanding Quality of Education, Outstanding Education Programmes for Young People and Outstanding Provision for Learners with High Needs.

    The college is committed to supporting staff wellbeing and professional development. We have an excellent in-house CPD programme for all teaching and support staff, including a dedicated programme for Early Career Teachers. The college also has close links with the Southampton Education Forum, the Wessex Group and the SFCA, including subject groups and CPD opportunities at all levels. The college offers a wide range of benefits for staff, including free parking, an onsite nursery, TPS pensions, an Employee Assistance Programme and free use of the college gym.
