    Working for Volunteer Edinburgh will offer you: a generous leave entitlement of 29 days plus eightpublic holidays, pro rata for part-time employees; 7% employer pension contribution; an established support and supervision framework and anemployer-supported volunteering policy that provides paid time off to volunteer.

    In addition, salaries arecontractually linked to local government pay.
    This role is part-time and at a proposed 21 hours per week. Flexible and hybrid working is available and workinghours can be negotiated.

    The fundraising manager will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be an accomplishedrelationship-builder and have a proven track record of income generation from trusts and grant-givingbodies.

    The main place of work is Volunteer Edinburgh's office at 222 Leith Walk, EH6 5EQ. Remote, flexible and hybridworking options are all available for this role.

    The Fundraising Manager will manage Clan Childlaw's existing pipeline of Trusts and Grants, ensuring proposals,applications and impact reports are completed and relationships are developed.

    The post holder will also beresponsible for identifying new opportunities to grow the pipeline by researching and identifying newprospects.

    Ideally you will have experience of writing compelling funding proposals and managing relationships to securefive-six figure grants and philanthropic gifts.

    However, while knowledge and experience of fundraising isdesirable, we are happy to consider candidates who can bring relevant transferable skills from other sectorssuch as sales, marketing and business development.

    In this role you'll aim to achieve this and deliver impact for olderpeople in Scotland by providing leadership, insight and guidance to the fundraising team.

    As a key member of the charity's management team, you will bring your professional expertise and high-quality peoplemanagement skills to develop the team to deliver their best.

    Working closely with the Associate Director of Fundraising and Marketing you will develop and implement thefundraising strategy for corporate, trusts and community events income as part of the charity's overall incomegeneration strategy.

    You will manage, direct and support the team to meet ambitious annual targets whilstkeeping expenditure within agreed limits.
    You will maximise income with a focus on corporate, trusts and grants and community and events fundraising.

    You will support with raising the profile of Age Scotland with a focus on storytelling, demonstrating the impact ofour services and working closely with our Individual Giving, Legacies and Brand Manager to ensure allfundraising activity aligns with our brand.

    You will work in partnership with colleagues at Age UK in the development and implementation of fundraisingprojects.
    This role is a hybrid blend of office-based (in Edinburgh) and home-based work.

    Deaf Action is a deaf-led charity, supporting and celebrating deaf people.

    As well as our outreach service in Edinburgh, we are expanding our service provision in Glasgow and are looking forpeople who can make a major contribution to our plans for innovation and growth and who have the commitment andenthusiasm to contribute to the work of our support services to Deaf people throughout Edinburgh andGlasgow.

    However, you wouldneed some experience of working in a support service and managing /overseeing a team.
    We will provide on the job training with the opportunity to complete formal qualifications in social care.

    If youhave knowledge of BSL, or are a BSL user that is a bonus, however we will provide training if not.

    You will be leading a team to support *deaf people living in the community.

    As well as leading a team you will belone working in the community, delivering a person-centred service supporting deaf people within their ownliving environment, to enable them to fully participate in the decisions affecting their lives, ensuring thatwherever possible, service users benefit from informed choice, control, and independence.

    This will include bothactivities at home and within the community which will promote independence and social inclusion.
    You will be accountable to the Support Services Area Manager.

    By working together, you will ensure that a consistent,high quality support service is provided to deaf service users in their own homes, and that staff are supportedto develop and maintain such a service.

    Due to the nature of this role, its essential that you can drive and have access to a car.

    *deaf: this to includes Deaf Sign Language users, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing people.
    To actively monitor and develop individual and team performance by ensuring effective supervision and PerformanceDevelopment Reviews/Reports (PDRs).


    • Be responsible for any risk assessments at the service users home as part of your Health and Safetyresponsibilities.
    • Thus, ensuring their motivation to provide outcome focused, person centred services.
    • To assess any new service users for the service and match them with staffs.
    • To be involved in recruitment for new staff for the service.
    • To take an active role in assessments / recordings and to work with service users to develop their skills andabilities to achieve identified outcomes.
    • To assist service users with personal care tasks where appropriate.
    • To be involved, as appropriate, with all household tasks, maximising service users' participation.
    • To record the day-to-day finances (where relevant) and household budgets of service users.
    • To enable service users to access information to be fully informed of their rights and valid expectations from theservice provided.
    • Occupational pension scheme with employer contributions of 6%.
