    Description

    Our client is a Green Chemical Manufacturing company who are looking f or an experienced project manager with commercial building experience to oversee the planning and execution of the refurbishment of their new factory and office unit in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

    The first phase of the project is seen as 3 months, and it is likely that other projects would follow on from this first phase.

    The commercial unit was vacated approx. 4 years ago and not been occupied since. During the intervening period some damage has been inflicted upon the building. Prior to it being vacated the unit was in the process of being 'first fixed' from an Electrical, Plumbing and office fit out perspective, much of which remains. Our plan is to repair the damaged and complete the second fix of the electric and plumbing along with fitting out the factory and office unit.

    Externally, much of the ground around the building was never finished, and road, parking and storage areas are still incomplete. Again, there are also parts of the external site that contain damage which must be repaired. On top of this a new fence will be installed.

    The project Manager will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for:

    • Meeting with senior management to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
    • Overseeing the planning and execution of the whole refurbishment project.
    • Developing detailed project plans to guide management, staff members and other project teams as well as managing any change to the scope.
    • Manage the contractors and in conjunction with HGL's management team and recruit new contractors as and when needed.
    • Developing proper controls to manage and communicate with all stakeholders.
    • Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery.
    • Compiling and submitting project status reports to management, and other stakeholders
    • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation
