    Lead Early Childhood Manager - Camp Simulator - Hazeley, Milton Keynes

    Working Hours: 08:00-18:00, Monday – Friday. (Total hours not exceeding 47.5 per week)

    Compensation: £580.24 - £718.65 weekly pay subject to factors like age, experience, qualifications, and camp size (Contracts for February Half Term based on 2023 rates. 2024 rates effective from April 1st.)

    Supervision: Camp Manager, Area Manager, and Central Office. We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing the well-being of children and young people, and we expect all team members to share this commitment.

    EARLY CHILDHOOD MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct Induction Training and oversee Set-Up days before Camp commences
    • Complete necessary paperwork and high-risk activities following Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice
    • Enforce Health and Safety regulations for a secure environment
    • Ensure implementation of Early Years Foundation Stage by organizing Explore and Play sessions
    • Act as Designated Person for Safeguarding, addressing Child Protection matters
    • Keep Area Managers and Central Office informed on a daily/weekly basis
    • Engage in high-risk activities with Early Years staff, monitoring children closely
    • Ensure staff comprehension of safeguarding procedures
    • Primary contact for OFSTED Inspectors on camp
    • Interact with parents, handle administrative duties, and oversee Early Years team
    • Maintain cleanliness in site and Baserooms, and pack away equipment
    • Evaluate and review staff performance at the end of the season
    • Support staff during sessions when required

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Mandatory attendance at Senior Training events (refer to contract for details)
    • Early Years qualifications (Primary qualified, CACHE L3, Primary PGCE, BA Primary Education)
    • Experience in Early Years within a childcare environment
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or possess an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service
    • Provide satisfactory professional/academic references
    • Participate in and deliver Induction Training Day(s) (likely within the 7-day period before camp starts)
    • Complete Online Training on an annual basis
    • Coordinate the wrap-up process at the end of camp
    • Goal for a minimum of 1/2 seniors to be Paediatric First Aid trained, depending on camp size

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Meet Health and Safety obligations by adhering to procedures and systems outlined in manuals and training
    • Be proactive and attentive to safety concerns
    • Prepare for Induction training using relevant manuals
    • Conduct staff evaluation for each contract-ending team member
    • Report any Child Protection issues to a Designated Person at Central Office
    • Ensure staff are informed of children with additional, medical, or dietary requirements (assistance may be needed for adjustments)
    • Administer medication correctly as required, following specific forms and documentation
    • Bring swimwear daily, as support for swimming sessions may be necessary
    • These responsibilities are not exhaustive, as you may be assigned different tasks based on your evolving role within the organization and its business objectives
