    Company Description

Ayesa is a globally-oriented, forward-thinking company deeply committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, equity, and sustainability. These principles form the bedrock of our dedication to our 11,300 employees and serve as the driving forces behind our spirit of innovation.

With a presence in 23 countries worldwide, Ayesa has earned a prominent international reputation in various engineering fields, including infrastructure, water conveyance and treatment systems, transportation, marine projects, waste management, aeronautics, and defence. Additionally, Ayesa is a well-established technology consultancy, specialising in facilitating the digital transformation of large corporations, particularly in the utilities sector, and providing technological solutions for public institutions.

As a technology and engineering firm, we complement our technological proficiency with the capacity to design physical infrastructures. This includes crafting distinctive buildings that imbue cities with character, designing iconic bridges that seamlessly blend into their surroundings, creating transportation systems such as high-speed roads, intelligent roadways, stations, and airports that serve as the backbone of regions, and engineering remotely controlled networks for energy and water distribution, driving urban and demographic development.

    Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially savvy infrastructure professional to join our team as Senior Project Manager. This individual will play a key role in driving the success of our infrastructure projects, particularly in the transportation sector, across the UK and Irish markets.

Job Overview: Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project delivery and technical leadership on a range of infrastructure projects, with a focus on transport-related civil and structural works. The successful candidate will lead and support multidisciplinary projects, manage project teams, and foster client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to leverage internal resources across global teams and develop a locally based transport infrastructure team.

    Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery: Successfully manage the delivery of complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, from inception to detailed design and construction support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead on transportation structures and bridge projects, including refurbishment projects. Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams on structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, and detailed designs.

Team Development: Develop and lead a locally based transport infrastructure team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Mentor and motivate team members, providing technical and administrative support as needed.

Client Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external agencies. Lead client-facing roles, prepare technical and commercial bids, and win work through effective communication and relationship building.

Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate commercial acumen in preparing proposals, managing project budgets, and consistently delivering significant projects to program and budget. Take ownership of multiple projects, managing risks and ensuring financial and contractual compliance.

Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Champion a quality culture within the company, promote Continued Professional Development (CPD), and uphold current standards in the industry.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
    • Over 10 years of experience managing the delivery of complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
    • Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or appropriate professional body.
    • Intimate knowledge of Highways England's and/or Network Rail's processes and deliverables.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Significant experience in the UK bridges/transportation sector.
    • Proficiency in relevant design standards and codes, including Eurocodes, DMRB, SHW, and Network Rail standards.
    • Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects through the Network Rail GRIP stages.
    • Familiarity with the Development Consent Order (DCO) process.

    • Proven track record of working with key clients and stakeholders in the transportation sector.
