The experienced Royal Household Kitchens team cater to a range of culinary requirements from large scale events to bespoke private catering.
You'll work with quality ingredients to plan and develop menu items for a wide range of events.Alongside the Head Pastry Chef, youll lead and motivate the Pastry Kitchen team while developing both your managerial and cooking skills, playing an integral part in the day-to-day running of The Royal Household.
In an environment where development and training is commonplace, you'll be supported to grow within your role.The role may require you to travel for 8-10 weeks of the year, on a rotational basis to other Royal residences around the UK.
Travel can range from a long weekend to an annual trip of approximately 4 weeks.Youll have successfully completed a City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent) and have in depth knowledge and experience of all Pastry sections, Pastes and Tarts, Cakes and Gateaux, Breads, Danish and Vienoisserie, Chocolate, Sugar flower and Pastillage work, Canapes and Afternoon Teas, plated desserts and Banquetting and be confident in menu planning and development.
Youll have gained your substantial experience within 5 star/premier catering operations (Corporate/City contract catering would be ideal) where the highest standards prevail.
Above all, you'll be committed to achieving high standards every day, making you a real asset to the Royal Kitchen team.

This role offers the option of live-in accommodation (for which there is a salary adjustment) with all meals provided.Enjoy 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days (plus bank holidays) dependent on the length of time you have worked for us.
