    Job Description

    Job Title: Interim Head of Data Analytics

    Location: London, UK (Onsite 2 days a week)

    Contract Duration: 6 months (Initial)

    Day Rate: £800-£850 a day inside IR35

    Company Overview:

    The Client is large financial services organization. They are looking to go throw a huge data transformation and are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Data Analytics to lead the team through this program.

    Role Overview:

    As the Interim Head of Data Analytics, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our data strategies, driving insights to enhance decision-making processes across the organization. You will oversee a team of data engineers and business intelligence (BI) developers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects aligned with business objectives. This role requires expertise in building data strategies, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft stack, including Databricks and Azure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive data strategies to support business objectives and drive innovation.
    • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and BI developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
    • Drive the design, development, and optimization of data models, pipelines, and analytics solutions.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data warehousing solutions to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
    • Provide guidance on best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
    • Monitor and optimize performance of data analytics platforms and processes.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a leadership role within data analytics, preferably within the financial services industry.
    • Strong background in building and implementing data strategies to drive business outcomes.
    • Extensive experience with the Microsoft data stack, including Databricks and Azure services.
    • Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of data engineers and BI developers.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work onsite in London at least 2 days a week.
