Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis.You will be responsible for managing the supplier performance across contracts for the service, inspection, testing and maintenance of mechanical systems.

What you'll be doing:
Working with suppliers to overcome obstacles and ensure the effective delivery of multiple mechanically biased cyclical service & testing contracts.
Being responsible for multiple mechanically biased contracts likely to include: Air Conditioning, Swimming Pool Plants, Gas Boiler Systems, HV Generators, Passenger Lifts, HVAC, Catering, Gas Tightness and Controlled Access.
Operating a bespoke asset management system to manage contractor adherence to work schedules, report submission deadlines and auditing technical work reports for errors and omissions.
Undertaking supplier staff audits to monitor safe working and competence.Assisting with the procurement process, updating and improving technical specifications, assessing supplier responses and mobilising new contracts.
Requirements:
Experience of facilities management in a large multi-site environment
Possess an in-depth knowledge of property statutory compliance regulations.
Knowledge of property Health and Safety regulations and guidance notes etc. E.g. Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, Control of Asbestos at Work Act, CDM.
Professional qualification in at least one of the following:
Relevant professionally recognised qualification within appropriate property related field (e.g. BSC/ BEng / HNC / HND or demonstrable sufficient previous experience with a mechanical/engineering bias.
Qualification within gas safety is essential
A comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manipulate data and extract information from management reports output from the AMS.
Experience of programme management and performance management related to property and a comprehensive understanding of current issues in this field.
Valid driving licence with access to own vehicle.Benefits:
