- Focusing on Sales and Estimating of Special Risk projects.
- Typically, you'll be carrying out your own outline design and costing to meet the needs of customer's specifications, firefighting codes, and Insurer requirements.
- Proactively researching the market and competitors utilising sources such as Barbour ABI to identify and track new opportunities.
- Ensuring all opportunities are internally compliant in terms of pricing, risk & approvals.
- Identifying, qualifying, and ultimately winning project opportunities. Maintaining ownership of opportunity from initial enquiry through to an outcome.
- Managing bid timeline and provide up-to-date and accurate pipeline forecasts.
- Proactively manage relationships and drive business growth and enhancement of the company position within target markets.
- Delivering compliant, professionally produced proposals.
- Producing accurate monthly reports in a timely manner.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in design / estimating / sales.
- A thorough understanding of a range of Fire Protection systems such as Sprinkler Systems, Deluge Water spray Systems, Foam Systems, Hydrants, Hose Reels, Dry Risers, Fire Pumps, Fire Tanks & Hydrant Ring Mains, Water/Foam Cannons.
- A good understanding and knowledge of the Fire Systems market.
- A proven track record of selling major contracts.
- A sound technical knowledge and experience of working to NFPA / FM Global Guidelines
- A practical use and understanding of AutoCAD, Navisworks & Canute FHC would be beneficial
- Experience in projects within the Power Generation / Energy from Waste / Waste Recycling / Petrochemical / Industrial environments would be highly advantageous.
- An energy and a focus on results, coupled with real imagination and flair to develop compelling proposals.
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude.
- Be a strong verbal and written communicator with effective influencing skills.
- Have strong organisational skills and time management to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with efficiency and accuracy whilst under pressure.
