    THE BUSINESS

    THE ROLE

    ESG Manager/Senior Manager - UK & Ireland, office based / hybrid

    Purpose of the role/key responsibilities:
    Service Delivery:

    • Conduct materiality assessments to identify and prioritise ESG risks and opportunities relevant to clients' business operations and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with clients to develop ESG strategies aligned with their corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations.
    • Prepare high-quality ESG reports for clients, disclosures, and communications that enhance transparency and credibility.

    Client Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for client interactions related to ESG initiatives.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' ESG needs, goals, and challenges.
    • Provide strategic advice and recommendations tailored to each client's sector and context.
    • Foster long-term relationships by delivering exceptional service and value.

    Project Management:

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of ESG projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
    • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
    • Maintain high-quality standards in deliverables, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.

    Business Development:

    • Identify opportunities for expanding ESG service offerings and growing the client base.
    • Develop compelling proposals and pitches tailored to prospective clients' needs and objectives.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote ESG services and initiatives effectively.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and emerging ESG regulations to capitalize on business opportunities.

    Compliance:

    • Stay up-to-date with relevant ESG regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks (such as, SECR, GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, ISSB).
    • Ensure clients' compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess compliance levels and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to clients in navigating regulatory complexities and reporting obligations.

    Experience and skill set required for the role:

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Sustainability, STEM subjects, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CDP) will be a plus.
    • Proven experience in ESG consulting/ business advisory, sustainability management, or related fields, with a focus on client-facing roles.
    • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
    • Sound knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Experience in business development, including proposal writing, pitches and client presentations.
