    Job summary

    Lister Medical Centre has an opportunity for a Prescribing and Recalls Administrator to join our busy prescribing team, at the heart of our patient care service. This role is offered on a part-time basis, for 33 hours per week working the following shift pattern:

  • Monday to 5pm
  • Tuesday to 1pm
  • Wednesday to 5pm
  • Thursday to 1pm
  • Friday to 5pm
  • Main duties of the job

    The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess experience of working in a busy, public environment.
  • Be flexible, with a positive attitude.
  • Have a good standard of general education with minimum grades in Maths & English or equivalent
  • Computer literacy able to produce a wide range of documents
  • Able to investigate complex queries and anomalies when required.
  • Demonstrate good team working and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an excellent standard of patient care.
  • Awareness of data protection and confidentiality
  • General practice experience and knowledge ofSystmOne would be an advantage.
  • About us

    We are a friendly, supportive, democratic, well organised and enthusiastic GMS practice, dedicated to providing traditional family orientated general practice based at a new purpose built single site health centre in Harlow. We currently have approx 20,000 patients, 5 partners, 3 salaried GPs, a large nursing support team and a vast array of administrative staff.

    We are a training practice and also teaching practice for Cambridge students. We are also a research practice. We are consistent high achievement in all QOF and Enhanced Services areas with an innovative team structure with individual patient lists (around 2,500 per FTE GP). We operate the SystmOne computer system. We are active members of local GP federation and ICB.

    Lister Medical Centre has easy access to M11/M25, close to London and Stansted and attractive Essex and Hertfordshire countryside and excellent schools.

    Essential

  • A good standard of general education with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
