    Description
    Accounts Payable Team Leader
    Pendragon Head Office - Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
    Salary of up to £35,000 with pension, single health care, critical illness and life assurance schemes, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services

    Due to our ongoing growth and expansion, we are looking for a talented individual to join us in the role of Accounts Payable Supervisor.

    You'll be working physically from Head Office for three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for two days per week.

    Based in our Finance Shared Service Centre, you'll be part of a dynamic team that supports our nationwide network of retailers.

    As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you'll coach and support a team of Accounts Assistant and Supervisors, ensuring that end to end financial processes are effective, efficient and delivered at all times.

    With a multitude of accounting tasks to lead on, which include resolving unallocated cash, Supplier reconciliation's, payments, new vendor requests and new technology trials and roll outs, it is critical that the successful candidate is multi-skilled, pro-active and has the ability to lead from the front as they will be embedding these tasks and processes with their team on a daily basis.

    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards
    Work closely with peer Accounting and Finance Managers, such as Payments team and General Ledger teams, to address issues and provide support to colleagues across the business
    Reviewing, analysing, and resolving errors in the accounts process to maintain a consistently high standard of service delivery within your department
    Previous experience in a similar Accounts leadership role in a fast-paced business
    Complete and thorough understanding of end-to- end Accounts Payable process with the ability to develop and embed these processes within large teams
    Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate and contribute effectively with large teams, peers and senior stakeholders both face to face and virtually
    Strong numerical skills, with the ability to process financial data quickly with a strong attention to detail
