    Job Description Tencent Games' Venture Lab is looking for a highly skilled expert to join our team as a Marketing Manager.

    Our mission at Venture Lab is to elevate the potential of Tencent's portfolio studios and create a long-lasting successful impact on their games.

    In this role, you will work closely with studio developers, focusing on providing publishing-related advisory and support, especially for PC titles launching on Steam.

    This position requires frequent travel, and emphasises a collaborative, advisory role, ensuring that our studio partners have the resources and guidance needed to succeed in an ever-evolving competitive gaming market.


    studios towards creating clear and actionable marketing strategies tailored to each video game title, with a focus on maximizing visibility and engagement on the Steam platform.

    studios on the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, and more - all while aligning with the overall go-to-market strategy and budget constraints
    monitor campaign performance metrics, analyze data, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize campaign effectiveness and ROAS.
    studios with best practices on the localization of marketing materials and game content to ensure relevance and resonance across different regions and cultures (with focus on Europe & North America regions)
    strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, developers, platform partners, and marketing agencies, to facilitate collaboration and drive results

    abreast and provide regular crystal ball analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

    reporting and presentations to communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to internal teams and studio partners.


    8 years experience in video game marketing, with a track record of launching successful PC titles and distribution on Steam.

    understanding of Steam publishing strategies, including but not limited to store page optimization, pricing, SKUs, Next Fest and major sales festival participation
    UA & media buying skillset, including analytics and ability to interpret data, identify trends, make data-driven decisions, optimizing media spend and feeding these to overall GTM plan
    project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
    fluency in English is a must
    for indie and AA video games plus a deep understanding of gaming culture and industry trends
    working in a video game publisher, working on titles across various genres with multiple studios is a plus
    worked in a consultation / advisory role to video game studios is a plus, but not necessarily required
