- Keeping up to date with products and competitor activity and the broader market conditions.
- Promoting the company's products and services addressing or predicting customer objectives.
- Actively promote new products and developments to customers and generating product development ideas via discussion with product sales specialists.
- Identifying new markets within these industries for Reality Capture solutions and work to develop opportunities within these markets.
- Identifying competition accounts within the marketplace and working to nurture relationships to try and convert them.
- Working with the Reality Capture Director to deliver sales forecasts along with activity reports.
- Actively promoting new technology adoption within the core industries which are Surveying, Construction and Heavy Construction.
- Sales pipeline management utilizing the CRM system (Salesforce)
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to ensure they are clear with the direction of business and are able to provide any necessary support.
- Providing feedback to senior management on general market conditions, compiling and delivering reports in and around your business area.
- Attending industry and company specific conferences and events
- Ideal candidates will possess proven experience in a similar sales related role within the Reality Capture sector or be working as a Surveyor or Engineer (with Reality Capture experience) looking to move into a more commercial role and willing to undertake the relevant cross training.
- Knowledge of a wide range of Reality Capture equipment and the requirements of the users of such equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability in interfacing at all levels and the ability to present information effectively to managers and clients / customers.
- Fluent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience of using CRM software for pipeline management (e.g. )
- A willingness to undertake regular domestic business travel to meet with clients - least 4 days per week and this may often require staying away from home (you will be home based - covering the Southern region). There may also be some need for international travel, but this will not be regular.

About the Job:
Global market leading provider of surveying technology / solutions to geospatial professionals in the civil engineering, construction and land surveying sectors now seeks to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer to join their Reality Capture division. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that is renowned for their innovative technology and premium products. They have brought the most advanced GNSS, 3D laser scanners, Terrestrial Scanners, Mobile Mapping, UAV's and total station solutions to the market.
The role is part subject matter expert – where you will provide technical expertise and support to both internal Account Managers and third-party distribution partners and part business development executive / sales consultant investing in and developing opportunities in new sectors.
