    Interim PT Occupational Health Advisor - People Services Job Ref: Dyfed-Powys Police BL TCL

    Pay Rate:
    £20.74 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 29.6 specific days TBC

    Role Length:

    This opening assignment is for 3 months City: Llangunnor, Carmarthen NB: Police Vacancy - only for candidates with a minimum of 5 years continuous UK address history.

    Please note that this vacancy is subject to a strict security vetting procedure.

    The purpose of the role is to provide professional comprehensive Occupational Health advice to management and staff on all matters relating to the health, safety and well-being of members of the Force and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements.

    Undertake sickness absence consultations for Police officers and Police Staff and formulate management reports and rehabilitation programmes.

    Triage Occupational Health referrals for assignment to the Occupational Health Adviser (OHA), Force Medical Adviser (FMA) or other specialist advisers.

    Liaise with the Occupational Health Manager on all aspects of Occupational Health and keep updated with changes to national standards and legislation, impacting on the Police Service.

    To incorporate all aspects of Health & Safety at Work Legislation, disability provisions of the Equality Act, Working Time Regulations, Data Protection and other relevant legislation within their daily activities.

    Identify, evaluate and control potential or actual hazards to health and safety in the workplace, to prevent ill health and accidents, in conjunction with the Health and Safety Adviser.

    Identify, develop and evaluate well- being and health promotion initiatives in line with the Dyfed Powys Police Service health and wellbeing strategy
    Deliver presentations and training sessions to promote health and wellbeing within the Force.
    Oversee the provision and management of the vaccination, health promotion, medical screening and health surveillance programmes.
