    IT Business Partner - Digital Transformation About the Client: Our client is one of the region's most prestigious employers, centrally located in Derby.

    With so much change occurring across the whole enterprise, our client seeks a proactive, relationship-focused IT Business Partner to act as a bridge between business planning and project initiation.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work with forward-thinking department leaders in an environment where technology delivers measurable cost, time, and productivity benefits.

    Though IT projects will surround you, this is not a project management role. Instead, you'll be focused on creating business cases, gathering requirements, and overseeing, planning initiation, project onboarding and alignment.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Serve as the primary point of contact between business functions and IT support teams, coordinating regular stakeholder meetings to understand business goals, and system issues, and address pain points.

    Evaluate and document the operational and IT needs for business functions, working with analysts to map data flows and integration points.

    Manage applications and systems portfolio for the allocated function(s), ensuring all systems are understood, and documented, and business ownership is confirmed.

    Develop and secure agreement on applications and systems strategy, integrating it into the digital roadmap aligned with the group vision.

    Map out current business processes ("as-is"), identify challenges and requirements, and agree on a future state ("to-be") that aligns with the company's strategy and promotes continuous improvement.

    Lead the vendor selection process for new business systems solutions in partnership with the procurement department.
    Create business justification papers to gain executive approval for financial and resource requirements.
    Manage IT business system improvements, including requirements definition, business case development, design, and technical implementation.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with business and systems suppliers to align new and existing systems with the overall strategy, reducing shadow IT instances.

    Support a cloud-first IT strategy, working with suppliers to ensure system stability, changes, and upgrades are managed through the IT change control and PMO processes.

    Demonstrate strong awareness of PMO and project management methodologies to effectively guide projects throughout the lifecycle.
    Understand system architecture and recognise implications on infrastructure, service delivery, and information security.
    Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure smooth implementation, upgrades, and transition into business as usual.
    Ensure end users understand new technologies and resolve any issues while relaying feedback to support teams.
    Influence stakeholders at senior levels, adapting your style to your audience.
    Undertake additional reasonable tasks required by the line manager in line with competence and grade.
    Ensure that day-to-day activities support the company's Sustainability Policy Statement and relevant management systems.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
    Proven experience in strategic IT partnership roles with a strong understanding of business planning and project initiation.
    Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
    Strong analytical skills for developing robust business cases and project documentation.
    Familiarity with project management principles while understanding the distinction between partnership and management.
