    This post will be responsible for the operational management of RASAC P&K Services and deputising for the ChiefExecutive Officer when required.

    A commitment to a feminist analysis of gender -based violence is essential, alongside aminimum of 2 years management/leadership experience.

    Current or former experience of working in the ViolenceAgainst Women sector is desirable.

    To help us achieve this, the role of Head of Programmes & Operations has been created to:

    To lead the Operations and Finance functions of the Young Women's Movement to provide effective, efficient andbusiness-focused support that drives our work into the future
    To innovate, deliver and grow high qualityfeminist programmes and initiatives across Scotland that are led by the voices, experiences and needs of youngwomen and girls

    How you'll help to create a fairer Scotland for young women and girls:
    Leadership and Governance
    As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contribute to the leadership and delivery of the Young Women'sMovement strategic and operational goals

    Learningand Engagement and Business and Finance Team's workload and activities, including direct line management of theCollective Voice & Action Lead; Work with the CEO, Treasurer and external accountant on the Management Accounts for thequarterly Finance Subcommittee; Within your areas ofresponsibility and supporting the wider organisation, ensure compliance with all related policies and procedurese.

    HMRC, Pensions Regulator, Companies House & OSCR
    Provide additional management cover whennecessary
    Operational Management
    Work with the CEO, Leads and young women to develop and expand our existing programmes and ensure we areconstantly innovating in programme and product development to meet the needs of the young women wesupport
    Develop excellent relationships with theYWM team and the young women we work with to drive positive outcomes and ensure our work is led by theexperiences, voices and needs of young women
    Support the Leads with strategic planning for theCollective Voice & Action; Learning and Engagement and Business and Finance Team's team including thesetting and monitoring of objectives and targets
    Oversee the monitoring and evaluation activity for theCollective Voice & Action; Work with the CEO to set, manage and monitor organisation and project budgets
    Work with budget holdersto manage and monitor budget lines and authorised expenditure within delegated limits and YWM financial policiesand procedures
    Work collaboratively with the CEO and Business and Finance Coordinator to ensure a strongsynergy between organisational planning and financial and resource sustainability
    Lead on the annualproduction and audit of the organisation's statutory accounts, including preparation and completion of thestatutory accounts in accordance with charity and accounting standards, and submission of annual returns to theCharity Commission and Companies House
    including providingregular and timely advice to the Board on investment management and delivery
    Support the Business & FinanceCoordinator to ensure the consistent delivery and quality of HR processes including staff recruitment, inductionand development, monthly payroll and pensions, annual objectives and professional development plans
    Oversee the YWM's information management, incorporating legal and regulatory requirements (GDPR), data security,and use of data and insight to deliver the objectives of the movement
    Ensure implementation of YWM'sActivity and Organisational Health and Safety policies and processes in line with legislation
    Generaloffice management oversight
    Keep up to date with the latest developments in the charity, political and commercial sectors and identify keyopportunities for YWM
    A good standard of education in relevant field OR demonstrable equivalent skills through continued professionaldevelopment
    A track record of delivering organisational plans as part of a management team
    Anunderstanding of the issues facing young women, especially those facing the greatest inequalities and at riskfrom systemic discrimination
    Excellent relationship management skills and experience of line managementand professional development
    Previous experience of effectively setting, managingand monitoring budgets (annual budgets exceeding £500k preferable)
    A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to operate and prioritisewithin a constantly evolving environment where targets and deadlines may change
    Commitment to owncontinuing professional development
    Experience of working in women-only spaces with a focus on young women and girls
    Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, CustomerRelationship Management System (CRM) and finance software - Xero desirable
    Experience of participatory models of working with young women and/or youth workexperience
    Knowledge and understanding of feminist themes within equity, diversity and inclusion and theroles a support function plays in this
    We operate a 4-day working week, which means full-time is 28 hours
    We offer flexible working options andpatterns, including the option to work hybrid from anywhere in Scotland (our co-working space is inEdinburgh)

    The Justice Services Manager will lead the justice service work delivered nationally throughthe RCS National Advocacy Project and the Scottish Women's Rights Centre.

    Empowering Pathways using a youth work approach to reachmore young women and girls and support their participation in the movement
    Support the development,session planning and delivery of new youth work initiatives and activities that support young women &girls
    Support the Learning & Engagement Coordinator to reach and engage young women and girls in ourspaces and services
    Work with young women and girls on our programmes and signpost them to opportunitiesfor their continued engagement both within our movement and in communities/wider society
    Undertake administrative tasks tosupport the planning, onboarding, preparation, delivery and evaluation of our Learning & Engagementprogrammes
    Gather Learning & Engagement content to share with our Comms Team e.g. photographs,stories, videos etc.
    Create safe, sustainable spaces with and for young women
    Commit to anintersectional feminist approach and break down the barriers to young women's participation, ensuring our spacesand programmes are accessible and inclusive to all
    Comply with the YWM's procedures and practiceincluding Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Data Protection
    Experience working with young people
    Commitment to delivering high quality and meaningful experiences for young women on ourprogrammes and our volunteers
    Passionate about enabling change for young women and girls through a rangeof learning interventions and programmes
    Strong time management and organisational skills
    Anengaging and warm facilitation approach to build confidence and opportunities for young women that have thepotential to create positive change, locally and nationally

    Willingness to work flexibly and travelacross Scotland when necessary - our delivery is often in the evenings or weekends.
