    Description

    The Customer Solutions Lead (CSL) will lead Socitm Advisory's ERP Proposition. They will engage confidently and passionately with clients to build trust and credibility, and excite customers about the value that Socitm Advisory can deliver them.

    The CSL will be responsible for consulting excellence, from pre-sales engagement through to handover to the ERP Programme team. They will manage, coach, mentor and upskill a team of exceptional consultants responsible for supporting sales in pre-sales activities and delivering consulting engagements. A player/manager leading strategic client engagements, such as discoveries and business-case development, that are the lead-in to multi-million £ delivery programmes.

    Reporting to the Consulting Director, the CSL is the Proposition subject matter expert and thought leader. The CSL will be responsible for overseeing and managing consulting delivery, ensuring engagements are delivered to time and budget and that client expectations are managed and met or exceeded. Working closely with the Sales Team, the CSL will be integral to supporting growth opportunities and client retention.

    Client Engagement

    • Develops and nurtures great relationships with senior client stakeholders. Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic – able to generate excitement and buy-in from prospective clients
    • Leads the shaping, oversight and delivery of consulting engagements.
    • Is a role model to the consulting team
    • A credible and articulate ERP subject matter expert.
    • Responsible for ensuring consulting engagements are delivered on time and to budget.
    • Responsible for managing the commercial activities of consulting engagements
    • Responsible for the performance and quality of work delivered within the consulting team.
    • Identifies opportunities, working with the Sales Team, to grow accounts.
    • Work closely with the Programme Director and Team Leads to identify areas where the consulting team can add value to customer engagements to enhance the successful delivery of larger ERP programmes.
    • Billable for 50% of their time.

    Business Development

    • Provides subject matter expertise to support Sales activities including authoring proposals, pitch activity and thought leadership.
    • Is a key contributor to account planning and pursuit planning.
    • A brand ambassador for the Company.
    • Is able to confidently discuss the wider Socitm Advisory propositions with clients.
    • Leads the development and evolution of the Proposition, aligning to market demand and the principle of continuous innovation.
    • Leads the development of consulting skills to deliver high value ERP consulting engagements.
    • Take a leading role in maintaining relationships with alliances, partners and vendors. Develops productive relationships that create commercially beneficial opportunities.
    • Represent Socitm Advisory at industry events and forums, to promote visibility, credibility and trust within our buyer community
    • Working with the Marketing Team, create high quality ERP-related content and thought leadership

    Talent Management

    • Coaches and develops the consulting team.
    • Leads-by-example to develop and motivate a high-performance team, attracting and recruiting new talent
    • Support and guide career development and succession planning. Ensures effective staff development plans are in place and reviewed regularly.
    • Identifies resource/expertise gaps and works with the Resourcing team to close.
    • Lead, manage, coach and develop direct reports.
    • Address performance or behavioural issues with individuals in an effective and timely manner.
