    Business Development - London, United Kingdom - Dartmouth Partners

    Description

    Our client is a boutique long only & long/short investment manager focusing on thematic public equity investing, with a lean team with a decent track record. They are looking for a Business Development & IR Director to service the existing investor base and developing fundraising efforts, predominantly focused on UK and US institutional.

    You will be taking a leading role, helping to co-ordinate all needs of the existing clients including leading relationship management, preparing marketing and investor materials and managing prime broker communication. You will also play a key part in building the firm's investor base including pitching, marketing the firm's strategy and leading roadshows.

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Minimum 8 years of experience in an investor relations or business development role within a hedge fund, private equity or long-only asset manager.
    • A strong track record of equity fundraising and client retention with an institutional network in the UK and US (ideally pension funds, endowments, foundations and family offices)
    • To be a public equities expert with a strong understanding of long only/long-short investing (experience of the energy sector would be a plus)
    • Refined financial and analytical skills combined with very strong attention to detail
    • A self-starter approach, whilst being a dependable team player
