    Description

    Our client, well known for the quality of its products and excellent customer service is looking to hire a new business development manager for their healthcare division. Our client is a leader in the supply of Linen and soft furnishings to the Hospitality and public sectors.

    As Business Development Manager the focus will be to visit and present the product range to hospitals and care facilities both NHS and private, ensuring they are fully aware of the services and products on offer. There will be a mix of existing accounts to manage as well as developing new business through targeted visits and drop-ins. Due to the nature of the customers involved, this person will have a 'caring' soft sales approach with the personality to nurture accounts not a 'hard sell' style.

    The Role

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
  • Accurate reporting, updating and maintaining key sales data to defined company deadlines.
  • Be proactive in meetings, review current market trends, business developments and actively look for opportunities to up sell.
  • You'll need to be an effective journey planner to utilise the best sales opportunities.
  • Liaising with internal departments and suppliers, ensuring customer has correct product information and quotes.
  • The right candidate

  • You'll have excellent communication skills with a soft and considerate sales manner.
  • Previous regional Field Sales experience and a proven track record of winning new business
  • IT knowledge to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service, planning, and organisation skills
  • Must hold a UK valid driving licence.

    Salary: £28 - £32k + bonus £6,000

    Package – Company car, laptop, pension, mobile

    Holiday 25 days + bank holidays
