    Trusts Officer - United Kingdom - Ritz Recruitment

    Description

    We are recruiting for a Trust Officer to join a well-known British Charity in Southwest London. This role is permanent and full time. The community grounds cover 66 acres providing sheltered accommodation and full nursing care (where necessary) for some 300 clients, ensuring they are provided with the support and comradeship they need. This historical and iconic organisation is a pleasure to work with and for.

    I have been working for this historic and iconic organisation several years and they are thought of and respected so highly. All job roles have an integral part to play in contributing to the achievement of their Strategy and Vision

    You will be working closely with the Fundraising team, helping to maintain, grow and develop a portfolio funding from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving organisations in support of the wide known Charity through researching, preparing and submitting high-quality grant/funding applications and returning feedback reports to all donors.

    Other duties include (but not subject to):

    • Assist in the identification of trusts and foundation funding opportunities to expand teir existing funder base
    • Work closely with all departments to develop new funding proposals and implement the organisational fundraising strategy
    • Help maintain a rolling programme of bespoke trust and foundation grant applications to meet the needs of funders
    • Support the Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Manager with donor and prospect communications.
    • Build and maintain excellent, long-term relationships with new and existing funding/grant making organisations.
    • Submit timely reports to trusts and other donors
    • Achieve agreed annual income targets
    • Maintain accurate records and update the database accordingly
    • Maintain regular communication with funders to facilitate the development of long-term relationships

    • Well presented with a friendly and welcoming manner and excellent interpersonal skills
    • A good knowledge and understanding of the voluntary sector funding environment
    • Experience of researching and developing new funding pipelines and managing multiple points of contact.
    • Excellent writing, literacy and proof-reading skills with high level attention to detail
    • Financially literate with the ability to understand budgets
    • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
    • The ability to work calmly under pressure.
    • The ability to work with a wide range of people
    • Excellent IT skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
