    Description

    This highly respected, 'Tech for Good' company are in search of a seasoned, self-driven, and enthusiastic Engineering Manager to join their well established Engineering Team in Belfast.

    As Software Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate across various departments and sites, advocating for quality and fostering innovation among Engineers and the wider team.

    *Candidates applying for this position must be able to come in to the Belfast office at least once a week

    Ensure team adherence to software development processes and internal standards.
    Identify new tools, processes, and techniques to enhance quality and efficiency, collaborating with leaders across departments for implementation.
    Ensure features meet desired levels of quality, reliability, security, and performance.
    Maintain a culture of engineering leadership and innovation.
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    ~8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in software management/leadership.
    ~ Experience with C# .NET or Java, SQL Server or Oracle, and JavaScript Frameworks.
    ~ Minimum of 2 years in Agile/Lean environment.
    ~ Familiarity with modern technologies and software design.
    ~ Understanding of Lean or Agile environment, continuous integration/deployment, and DevOps practices.
    ~ Experience in web application development and distributed environments.

    Azure or AWS).
    Familiarity with software quality assurance tools and test automation.
    Previous exposure to UI technologies and frameworks like JavaScript, Angular,
    Exposure to database development.
    Ability to assess and articulate risk.
    Ability to drive design innovation.
