    Description

    The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queen's University Belfast is looking to hire a Lecturer in Engineering Management.

    Applicants should have expertise in engineering management and a modern understanding of the crucial role engineers play in responsibly contributing to industry and society. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about providing top-notch education and offering an outstanding student experience. The chosen candidate will contribute to shaping the future curriculums for both undergraduate and postgraduate Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering programs, while also helping develop new interdisciplinary teaching initiatives across the University's academic range within their field of expertise.

    The position involves participating in broader School and University administrative and outreach activities.

    The successful candidate must hold and showcase the following in their CV/Cover letter:

    • Honours Degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
    • Practical industry experience relevant to the specified teaching areas, along with a track record of teaching or training in a relevant field.
    • Demonstrable broad and deep specialist knowledge to create teaching materials and offer high-quality instruction at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels within the School's academic programs, aligned with their own specialization. This experience should cover aspects such as project management, finance, health and safety, risk management, legal compliance, diversity and inclusion practices in the workplace, and ethical obligations.
