    Description
    Finance Manager - Retail Banking (12 month FTC)
    Founded in 2007 our client is one of the fastest growing banks of their kind in the UK.

    They offer personal and corporate savings products and finance for UK residential and commercial property, in addition to sourcing and advising on UK real estate investments.

    Due to cover within the business, they are now looking to acquire the services of an Finance Manager .

    As a Finance Manager , you will play a crucial role in working closely with Senior Financial Accountant and the Finance team to manage the product and financial control function and support monthly, quarterly, half-year and year end and reporting.

    Financial Control/Reporting


    • Oversight of the accounts payable function including processing payments, approval of the related journal entries in the accounting system.
    • Working closely with Treasury for hedge accounting assessment and accordingly updating hedge accounting workings.
    • Producing/reviewing monthly balance sheet and income statement General Ledger code reconciliations.
    • Preparation of month-end Flash report and management accounts.
    • Forecasting the financial results on a monthly basis;
    • Oversight and improvement of internal controls across Financial Control and Reporting function;
    • Develop and regularly update the Finance department policies and process notes;
    • Preparation of annual financial statements and liaising with the external auditors, and providing relevant information to ensure their queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
    Assists Head of Finance in budget and forecast reports, and related ad hoc requests.
