- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
- Managing and developing the practice administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Liaising with NHS and other healthcare organisations, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Providing solid leadership, based on sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning and human resource management.
- Implementing and monitoring systems and processes to improve patient experience and practice efficiency.
- Managing the practice finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to support the practice in its growth and development.
- Experience as a practice manager or in a senior administrative role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a primary care environment.
- Thorough understanding of the NHS, its policies, regulations, and primary care networks.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving the patient experience.
- Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.

South Green Surgery is looking to appoint an experienced practice manager to lead our organisation on a part-time basis, for 30 hours per week, days and times to be discussed.
As a busy practice serving the local community, we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the NHS and primary care networks.
Main duties of the job
About us
South Green Surgery is under new management and is in the process of developing a dedicated surgery works closely with both Queens Park Surgery and The New Surgery, Billericay to provide services to patients and is also a member of Billericay PCN.
The surgery overlooks the local green and is situated alongside a shopping parade that includes a community pharmacy.
