    Description

    A charity providing youth and community services in Streatham is seeking an experienced Interim CEO to navigate the organisation through a critical period of transition.

    The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in turnaround management within the charitable sector, capable of implementing strategic and operational changes to address systemic issues and rebuild organisational strength and sustainability, while stabilising the relationship with the wider community.

    The charity is currently facing significant financial and operational challenges.

    The recent closure of the charity-run nursery due to a combination of quality and financial viability concerns has resulted in a significant amount of noise.

    She will stay in post until 28th June 2024 if needed, but is happy to step back after a brief handover as soon as a suitable Interim CEO can start in the role.

    Top priorities for the Interim CEO will be leading the organisation through a period of restructuring, focusing on rebuilding core services, stakeholder relationships, processes and systems; and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards and HR protocols.

    Contract:

    This is a nine-month interim position with the strong possibility of extension to twelve months based on organisational needs.

    ~ This is a full-time role, with 4+ days per week to be spent on the charity's sites around Streatham. For highly experienced candidates, the role could be considered on a pat time basis (4 days per week), and/or with 3 days spent on site.

    Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive in a turnaround management capacity, preferably within the charitable sector.
    Track record of establishing effective policies, processes and systems within an organisation.
    Strong financial acumen and experience in financial restructuring and budgetary management.
    Sound understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management principles.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, to include experience of overseeing effective social media and community engagement campaigns.
