    Position: Technical Support Engineer

    Location: Low Moor, Bradford. Close to motorway links and public transport networks

    We are thrilled to go to market for the search of our new Technical Support Engineer at our site in Low Moor, Bradford.

    What you'll be doing as a Technical Support Engineer

    As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical support to the maintenance department to ensure compliance with legislative and responsible care requirements. Provide leadership and responsibility for the maintenance apprenticeship program. Driving continuous improvement relating to the development of colleagues and processes and deputize for the Maintenance Supervisors during periods of absence.

    Other key day to day functions will include.

    Ensure compliance for regulatory maintenance activities predominantly as identified below. Working in conjunction with the maintenance planners to plan, schedule & co-ordinate 3rd Party contractors. Agree with Asset Managers the priority and strategy to act on any corrective actions/recommendations considering budgetary requirements. Lead & manage actions required resulting in the use of on-site engineering resources. Act as the Site Liaison Representative for the following works: -

    • Fixed Wire Inspections
    • Uninterruptible Power Supplies
    • Power Factor Correction
    • PAT Testing
    • Lightning Protection
    • MCC Room Fire Protection
    • Site wide Weighing Equipment
    • Mechanical - crane repairs, LOLER& LEV inspections, Air Con/Chillers

    What you'll bring:

    • Minimum HNC in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
    • Preferably time served engineering apprenticeship, but not essential.
    • Microsoft Project experience or ability to learn.
    • Proven extensive experience in engineering maintenance and inspection.
    • Experience in supervision, or willingness to be developed.
    • Good working knowledge of maintenance operations and repairs to equipment.
    • Ability to work with SAP environment. Good PC skills inclusive of Microsoft Office. Good working knowledge of maintenance operations. Application of Health & Safety requirements whilst planning tasks.
    • Working knowledge of EAWR, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, RBI, DSEAR/ATEX, COMAH, Integrity management
