    Description

    Practice Business Manager - Forestside Medical Practice

    Based in Dibden Purlieu and adjacent to both Hythe and the New Forest, the partners are looking to appoint a new Practice Business Manager.

    This is a long established, friendly, efficient and supportive practice, widely respected for its collaborative working, teaching and training. We embrace change and new technologies whilst maintaining the traditional model of offering a named GP for each of our patients.

    Talented individuals are encouraged to thrive and make a difference and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated manager, with strategic vision, to join this highly respected 11,800 patient medical practice. Candidates must be conscientious, provide solid leadership and have a sound knowledge of strategic business management, finance, planning and HR.

    The practice is currently undertaking a period of transformation and the successful candidate will be required to continue to support this journey.

    The successful candidate will have hands-on responsibility for organisational leadership, service improvement and delivery of key targets across all clinical and administrative areas within the practice.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate will need to demonstrate robust leadership and communication skills, be well organised, highly motivated and financially astute. There is a requirement to manage and take responsibility for all business aspects of the practice. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to provide strategic guidance and planning to the partners.

    The practice manager will be a key member of the team and expected to demonstrate leadership qualities, achieving goals and targets using a combination of personal involvement, motivation of other staff and delegation when appropriate.

    The partners also require the successful candidate to be proactive and plan for the future, maximising the practices potential in relation to business, finance and premises, whilst maintaining patient care. The candidate needs to ensure the partners are kept fully informed of local and national proposals and initiatives, presented clearly and concisely to enable them to make informed decisions.
