    Description

    A quick look at the role

    The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group Marketing team. You will coordinate the end-to-end Marketing planning process, working with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) to develop the annual plan across propositions, channels and audiences. This includes responsibility for our creative output, managing an in-house studio and retained agency team, and ownership of our self-serve and workflow platforms.

    Your core responsibilities

    • Develop, embed and oversee new ways of working within the Group Marketing team to help us increase brand awareness and consideration, depth of awareness and brand perception.
    • Own the "front door" briefing process into Group Marketing from other teams in the business – triage briefs, prioritise and allocate to relevant Marketing resource and ensure delivery.
    • Manage and support development of the Biffa brand through visual story telling across a range of media, overseeing our creative studio (2 in-house designers plus freelance resource) from brief to delivery alongside agency output to deliver best possible value within budget.
    • Manage relationship with our retained creative & content agency, overseeing the annual scope and budget, supporting delivery of briefs into the agency team to deliver maximum value for money and ensuring output is on brief, on brand and on budget.
    • Manage our digital media library, the DAM, and our print portal, UYR, ensuring all approved brand collateral is uploaded in a timely manner, reporting on usage and supporting users from across the business in getting the most out of the platform to support business objectives.
    • Take ownership of our team planning / project management platform, ClickUp, reviewing with the MLT to ensure this keeps pace with the evolving needs of the team and capabilities.
    • Coordinate Marketing planning, through an annual, quarterly and monthly planning cycle.
    • Deliver monthly Marketing e-newsletter to key stakeholders, detailing the latest Marketing highlights, the priority projects in development and a "what's new" on the DAM.

    Our essential requirements

    • Experiencing in Marketing Operations / Creative Studio management within a complex organisation.
    • Project management of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
    • Knowledge of graphic design principles, particularly direct response.
    • Experience of Adobe Creative software
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to lead matrix teams and confidently work with senior leaders.
