- Lead, develop, and operationally manage the Transport Team.
- Delivery of high-quality transport services including public travel & ENCTS and all commissioned transport services (SEN, Home to school, post-16 and social care)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
- To ensure compliance with all vehicles maintenance arrangements.
- Manage the budget including budget monitoring and reporting
- Commissioning and procurement of transport services
- Requirements:
- Experience in managing fleet and transport operations in accordance with the requirements of the Council's Operators License.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare and present reports to senior management.
- Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external service providers.
- Experienced in managing budgets and commissioning services
- Flexible working and may require out of hours to support service delivery with occasional evening or weekend meetings/sessions.
- Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Current Standard DBS check.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
