    R-21264 Field Service Engineer – Apprentice – United Kingdom - Central Region

    We now have an excellent opportunity to join our Apprenticeship Program, within our Field Service team, at Varian, UK.

    As a company, we are strongly committed to our Apprenticeship programme. This will be subject to agreement between Apprentice and Varian.

    Our Training Program offers:
    Full time at college, covering the basics of Electrical and Mechanical skills
    Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Support Engineering


    Apprenticeship Role:
    Successfully complete the first year of college and obtain Level 2 qualification to enable progression to Level 3 qualification
    Successfully complete the years 2 & 3 of college and obtain Level 3 qualification to enable progression to Level 4 qualification
    Meet regularly with Employer Services to review NVQ portfolio and key skills progress and agree objectives, actions and deadlines
    Meet regularly with the Production Manager for opportunity for feedback on apprenticeship progress, issues and training requirements covering both technical and personal skills
    To carry out other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your manager in line with the Apprenticeship program


    Apprenticeship Entry Requirements:
    Minimum of three GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above, including Maths, Science and English
    An aptitude for organization, results and quality and eagerness to learn


    Anticipated Apprenticeship Program Start Date:
    Beginning September 2024
