    Keighley, West Yorkshire


    Contract type:
    Temporary, full time and part time (8:30am-3:30pm)


    Pay Rate:
    £83-£95 a day

    Veritas Education are working closely with a primary special school in Bradford.

    The provision is a dedicated educational facility providing support to students aged 5-11 years old with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

    The school is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive, regardless of their individual needs.


    Job Description:
    We are seeking a passionate and resilient Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to join our team.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students in managing their behaviours, fostering positive relationships, and creating a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
    Implement and monitor individualized behaviour plans, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
    Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of trust and security.
    Support students in developing essential life skills and coping mechanisms.
    Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to create a holistic support system.
    Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour incidents, and interventions.
    Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions

    Qualifications and Experience:
    Experience supporting children and/or adults with SEN and complex needs is essential.
    Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions is essential.
    Level 2 Team Teach is essential, although this training can be offered by Veritas.
    Safeguarding training is essential, although this can be offered by Veritas.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration.
    Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
