    Infrastructure Team Lead - 9 month FTC

    London Hybrid

    InterQuest are partnered with a leading research organisation based in Central London who are dedicated to driving excellence in the field of technology. They are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Infrastructure Team Lead on a 9-month FTC basis.

    As the Infrastructure Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading their Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms Team through critical projects, focusing on VMware and IBM Spectrum Protect upgrades. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of these projects while maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the organisation's infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with VMware and IBM Spectrum Protect upgrades, as well as a solid background in data center operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the infrastructure and cloud platforms team through VMware and IBM Spectrum Protect upgrades, ensuring project milestones are met within established timelines.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop implementation plans, and mitigate risks.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the data center, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
    • Evaluate existing infrastructure systems and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience leading infrastructure teams in complex environments.
    • Extensive experience with VMware and IBM Spectrum Protect upgrades.
    • Strong understanding of data center operations and infrastructure management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
    • Excellent stakeholder management.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
