    About the role

    If you're looking to build your experience in policy, risk and compliance, develop a broader understanding of the workings of UCL and of project and change work, then this could be a great role for you. In addition to supporting the transition of current risk management activities from the Office of Vice-President Strategy, you'll work closely with both UCL's Head of Policy, and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer to establish strategic Policy, Risk and Compliance functions for UCL. In establishing the new functions, you will undertake research and discovery work, support stakeholder engagement and communication, work with ISD to specify system requirements and testing, design and deliver training and documentation, and support the production of data analysis.

    About you

    We are looking for candidates with qualifications commensurate with education to degree level (or equivalent relevant work experience).

    You need to be able to work with, analyse, interpret and prepare numerical data as well as synthesise large quantities of information and reconcile different approaches.

    For this role you will need extensive experience of policy, risk or compliance processes within a Higher Education setting.

    You will need to demonstrate excellent drafting and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to audiences with varying concerns and levels of understanding.

    You will also have experience of relationship management, engaging with and positively influencing those delivering and experiencing change.

    Demonstrable experience in improvement processes from scoping to implementation is desirable.
