    Manager, Localization - London, United Kingdom - Figma

    The Manager, Localization will play a key role in supporting Figma's mission to help make design accessible to all. You will be at the forefront of defining and building out our localisation function. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, working across GTM, Product, Design, Engineering, and with multiple outside vendors to develop, optimize, and implement processes that scale. You will play a key role in defining our localization strategy as we grow.

    What you'll do at Figma:
  • Lead the localization strategy and ensure that day-to-day processes and outputs of the Team. You and your Team will be responsible for scaling design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks for multiple products across a range of diverse content types
  • Project manage end-to-end localization/ transcreation project(s) across your Team, ensuring smooth and scalable work across internal and external team collaboration globally
  • Analyze current opportunities in workflows and tools in order to provide recommendations, and implement scalable solutions for improvement
  • Advocate for localization best-practices across the organization
  • Develop strong partnerships with our localization vendors and internal partners
  • Research and make recommendations for areas of expansion
  • We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 10+ years experience hiring, managing and building a global website localization team
  • Experience building a website globalisation strategy from scratch to scale the business efficiently, including the right success metrics and organized budgets
  • A strong understanding of localisation methodologies, TMS technologies and CMS platforms - experience working with Smartling/ Transifex/ RWS would be beneficial
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; with the ability to build strong relationships across cultural and geographic lines. You are a driven leader with a proven track record of success, using your influence and interpersonal skills to bring your team together and inspire unity to core goals and values
  • Knowledge of how digital content works - from CRO to SEO - with experience leading a project portfolio for customer-facing content; including for marketing, customer support, and/or digital products
  • While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:

  • Fluency in more than one language
  • Ability to work at pace, can quickly join dots across projects and multi-task to optimally drive output
  • Experience within Tech or Design - within a B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience working with a CMS
  • Website, CRO or SEO experience
