    This is an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the company to define manufacturing process and facilities.

    Key to success will be the ability to prioritise, operate as part of the project team, mitigate risk via DFM, scope equipment and tests and deliver a controlled product introduction.

    As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be helping plan new production methods and the resourcing of manufacturing projects for niche volume manufacturing.

    The Manufacturing Engineer will define manufacturing and assembly process with efficient, repeatable methods to deliver products that meet cost, quality and reliability targets.

    Participate with Product engineering team from Concept to delivery.
    Ensure product design and manufacturing process do not compromise product safety.
    Apply Design for Manufacture principles.
    Generate production documentation, BoM, routing, layout, process flow, PFMEA, Standard work & Control plan.
    Identify need for in-line test methods, help document and develop.
    Develop design of fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks.
    Work history of imagining & creating manufacturing processes.
    Ability to budget & plan manufacturing activities.
    Understanding of production cost drivers.
    Equipment procurement (SoR writing) skills.
    May be from Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, Bus, seeking more scope technically.
    Mechanical / electrical background.
    Experience of DFMEA flow-down as part of a project team.
    Experience with battery systems manufacturing methods.
    HaV training certificate (desirable).
