    Are you our nextLeeds and Yorkshire Development Director We are seeking a highlymotivated and experienced individual to join our nonprofitorganization in Leeds and Yorkshire.

    The context Common Purposein Leeds &Yorkshire

    Yorkshire is a keystrategic area for Common Purpose. We are wellestablished here witha good reputation; over 9000 people across the region haveparticipated in Common Purpose programmes.

    Ourlocal portfolio includes our open programmes for senior and highpotential leaders Legacy for 1825 yearolds and university studentprogrammes. We also run customized programmes tailored to clientneeds.

    Therole

    This is a sales and businessdevelopment role. The Development Director will be responsible fordelivering to an annual income target and for maintaining andgrowing our wellestablished relationships in Leeds and Yorkshire aswell as developing new ones. Some of these will be selfgeneratedand some through referrals by our alumni network Advisory Group andexisting customers.

    The Development Director willbe an ambassador for Common Purpose across a wide range of networksand sectors. The right person will have a strong understanding ofthe regional context and its core cities in particularLeeds.

    The role may also require somefacilitation of our leadership programmes. Candidates may come withthose skills or will be willing to develop them through trainingand experience within the first twelve months in the role.

    This is a fulltime permanent role in the UKBusiness Unit reporting to the UK Partnerships Director who is alsobased in Yorkshire and has led on our work there for many years. Itis homebased and the successful candidate will be expected to havea full schedule of inperson meetings particularly in Leeds. We arewilling to consider parttime employment for a suitablecandidate.

    Tasks

    Responsibilities

    Youwill

    • Develop andexecute a business development plan to achieve regional growth andsustainability goals.
    • Deliver to sales targetsin Yorkshire.
    • Maintain strong relationshipswith existing stakeholders buyers and identify & invest innew relationships with potentialbuyers.
    • Collaborate with the wider UK team toidentify prioritize and act upon business developmentopportunities.
    • Produce high quality proposalsfor customers.
    • Participate in networking eventsconferences and other outreach opportunities and use social mediato promote Common Purpose and its mission.
    • Workcollaboratively with programme staff to ensure alignment betweensales priorities and programmeactivities.
    • Ensure that the Common Purposeimage locally is high profile independent and professionalpromoting our Common Purpose programmes and campaign through arange of communication channels including socialmedia.
    • Ahead you might facilitate some of ourleadershipprogrammes.
