    Our finance team are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join them on a 12 month contract, who will support in the financial management of our operating companies.

    Within this role, you will be responsible for:

    Purchase Ledger

    • Manage external suppliers' invoices by using Docuware (purchase invoice and expense management system), Sage50 and Sage 200. This includes the scanning of invoices, ensuring they are routed correctly for approval, coding and processing on the systems mentioned previously.
    • Manage inter-company purchase invoices by importing files and liaising with IT and the sales ledger, for the other entities, if there are any discrepancies.
    • Maintain up to date and accurate purchase ledger records on the SAGE systems by invoice posting, allocation of payments and reconciling supplier statements.
    • Liaise with store staff and suppliers to resolve any queries (Purchase Orders and any other queries)

    Bank reconciliations

    • Prepare 16 stores bank and card transactions reconciliations (sales income) and follow up with store on any discrepancies.
    • Prepare 16 stores EPOS reconciliations (sales income) and follow up with store on any discrepancies.
    • Check and update bank payments daily in Cyrane (the company retail finance system) system for customer orders.
    • Process customer refunds as per store requests and update the Cyrane order accordingly.

    Expenses

    • Manage staff expenses in Docuware and also liaise with IT for any technical issues.

    Petty cash and credit cards

    • Manage NRL stores petty cash posting and deal with discrepancies.
    • Manage NRL credit card transactions posting in Sage50.

    Other

    • Liaise with company external auditors by providing information required with regards to above areas.
    • Assisting with the implementation of the new ERP system

    You'll be a naturally confident communicator with an eye for detail and the ability to pick up new software and programmes easily. You'll also bring exceptional Excel skills, experience in purchase ledger administration and a good understanding of SAGE L50.
