    Description

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Director to take full ownership of new business and market development of a rapidly expanding UK SME manufacturer of roofing, cladding and facade materials.

    The business is profitable and growing through their quality materials and service offerings with key clients, through proactive sales and with a focus strategic acquisitions.

    The businesses offer a broad range of technical products that are sold into building product OEM's, contractors and distributors within the roofing, cladding and facade market.

    The Business Development Director will be 'hands on' in their approach with a strategic approach to market development. Formulate and deliver the sales strategy to grow the business within the UK and through export markets.

    Develop and drive a culture of high performance across the sales teams through robust Sales Management processes, against clear and visible targets and KPI's.

    Analyse the Market, Products and Added Value Service Offering identifying profitable areas/new industry sectors and application for growth, whilst conscious of logistics and financial challenges.

    Ensure Customer Service Excellence is delivered throughout the Organisation.
    Drive efficiency's through a clear Sales Management Structure to ensure closeness of relations with customers. Develop a high-performance culture throughout sales - implementing mechanisms to encourage and recognise exceptional performance across the business.
    Lead key strategic projects as and when required.

    Role model for the Values and Behaviours of the organisation, actively working to ensure the culture of the business reflects the stated aims of the organisation.

    Broad business development experience within the building materials industry ideally with an understanding of working within the roofing, cladding and facades industry,
    Experience of working in a technical sales role selling technically and via specifications into OEM's, contractors and distributors.
    A tenacious and resilient management style specifically in relation to boosting performance.
    MBA-Degree or equivalent certification experience would be preferred, but not essential.
