- Play an integral role in the HEOR business planning process within the EST-M region, ensuring alignment with therapeutic area/product strategies.
- Operationalize and provide expertise in implementing HEOR strategies for assigned therapeutic areas or products within the EST-M region or specific country/countries.
- Support EST-M HEOR business objectives and long-term budgetary plans by generating, synthesizing, disseminating, communicating, and refining HEOR evidence over a 3–5-year timeframe.
- As a subject matter expert on regional HTA requirements, tailoring HEOR/Value strategies accordingly. Ensure implementation by incorporating them into Core Medical Plans, Global Value Plans, country-specific plans, and Clinical Development Plans.
- Drive and manage various HEOR initiatives, including providing HTA advice and submissions, conducting data gap analyses, developing RWE study protocols, performing post-hoc analyses, conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, publishing scientific papers, organizing advisory boards, and adapting Value Dossiers
- Stay closely attuned to changes in the healthcare and economic landscape, anticipating and communicating potential impacts on the business, patients, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Represent the business at external conferences and meetings related to HEOR.
- Advanced degree in a field related to healthcare economics, such as Health Economics, Economics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, or Epidemiology.
- Strong background in conducting Health Economics Outcome Research (or Market Access, provided the necessary professional qualifications are met) within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar HEOR consulting role.
- Demonstrable expertise in and experience with healthcare systems in Europe, including HTA (Health Technology Assessment), reimbursement systems, and health economics/outcomes research. Specific knowledge and experience with country specific HTA processes are essential.
- Solid understanding of Market Access principles.
- Proficient in utilizing Real-World Evidence (RWE) to derive meaningful outcomes data.
- Exhibits strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective decision-making skills.
- Proven track record in managing stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and organizational skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (additional language proficiency may be required for specific country-focused roles).

This is a fantastic opportunity that could propel a talented health economist into the industry. I am working in partnership with a leading pharmaceutical company who are seeking a UK HEOR Associate Director to join their growing health economics function. The team are an agile division focussed on oncology, neurology and rare diseases whilst offering a diversified range of products to work on day to day.
You will work in close collaboration with the Director of the division who offers support, training and development and will be a key collaborator in working with UK, regional and global teams.
