    Corporate Finance Manager

    Morgan McKinley is excited to be working with a rapidly growing FinTech business based in the City of London, to assist in their search for a new Finance Manager.

    Our client is an Electronic Money Institution authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK, with a varied client base including Credit Unions, Financial Institutions and Crypto firms. The Finance Manager will support the European Financial Director, working towards scaling the business and ensuring the day to day financial needs run smoothly. There will be one direct report and indirect support from global teams, as the business expands globally.

    Your New Role:

    • Support sales with pricing, modelling, pipeline presentation and management
    • Pulling together a business dashboard, KPI pack to review all departments
    • Support during monthend to review accruals, variances, raise queries, resolve accounting issues, understand movements
    • Ensuring daily settlement process is completed on time
    • Ensuring client and supplier/vendor contracts are reviewed and robust
    • Daily signing off prefunding/client bank funds vs our tracker and expectations
    • Supporting Unit Costing to support pricing, margin management, client profitability and commissions payable to partners
    • Reviewing settlement volumes, prefunding and ensuring liquidity covers settlement
    • Providing approval for all supplier, expenses, payroll and relating tax payments
    • Assisting and ensuring VAT calculations completed for the legal entities and timely submitted into HMRC
    • Submissions directly to the FCA and working with Compliance to ensure all FCA reporting requirements are met
    • Supporting expansion into new markets with existing products and commercialising new products into existing markets
    • Taking a lead on projects to improve profitability and cash flow
    • Creating a management dashboard with portfolio level data to provide insight into the underlying portfolio and clients

    Required skills and qualifications:

    • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with at least 2 years PQE
    • Must have experience in a financial services/ FinTech environment
    • Strong communications skills, presenting information and turning data into insights
    • In-depth knowledge of banking frameworks and payment methods.
