Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to be engaged by a global business to appoint a Management Accountant based in Edinburgh. The role is offering a competitive salary + bonus and benefits.
The business is a global professional services firm with a culture of excellence, diversity & inclusion, and innovation.

It is now seeking a talented, qualified accountant to join the finance team in Edinburgh with a view to bolstering the Group management accounting function and wider decision-making process.

As Management Accountant, you will be at the forefront of the management reporting and decision support process for the group.

You will be involved in producing monthly management packs – including analysis and commentary – for the business units and cost centres, as well as being heavily involved in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting and reforecasting process.

Moreover, you will act as a trusted advisor and business partner to commercial and business services stakeholders, explaining your findings in clear and digestible terms.

Preparing and distributing monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Preparation of KPI reports and commercial analysis for entities within the Group, presenting in a clear and digestible manner
Business partnering with budget holders across the group, supporting each to deliver the desired financial performance against budget
Adhering to and developing systems and processes to ensure 'fit for purpose' finance infrastructure
Providing ad hoc support to the financial accounting team around key reporting periods e.g. month-end and year-end
Have strong management accounting skills and experience including budgeting/forecasting
Have experience of working within finance in a large, complex business
Have experience of Group accounting (desirable)
Have strong MS Excel skills and an ability to manage large data sets
