    Senior Project Manager x 2

    • 30m RC Frame & Groundwork Packages
    • 90,000 to £110,000 per annum + benefits + bonus (PAYE or Self Employed)
    The Employer:

    Currently operating with a turnover around £150 million per annum, this privately owned specialist concrete frame & groundwork subcontractor builds packages ranging from £5 million up to £50 million each. Their client base is a mixture of residential developers and commercial main contractors.

    I am watching this business go from strength to strength, reinvesting constantly, creating a stronger and stronger brand in the market. Clients are coming back for repeat works and new clients are knocking on their door because of the way they work and the reputation they have developed. Because of this they are attracting some of the best talent in the market, and with plans to grow further, options still exist for people to progress in their career as they step forward and once individuals have proven their commitment.     About the Opportunities:

    I have been asked to find two Project Managers capable of delivering large reinforced concrete frame, basement and associated groundworks packages on projects in London (initially there are projects secured in South East London, North West London and Central London).

    Individuals will need to have a strong understanding of everything from piling, groundworks, basement construction and concrete frame construction, while working on a mixture of residential and commercial projects in the past directly for the sub-contractor overseeing these packages with values of at least £20m.

    Usual duties will apply from overall management of the site team, technical management of the programme and works, through to management of the client and surrounding aspects (i.e. health & safety, temporary works, engineering solutions and site meetings).

    About the Requirements:

    Suitable candidates need to be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and must be able to show a strong history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10+ years.

    It is crucial that candidates can show a strong amount of concrete frame construction background having worked for rival concrete frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK. Candidates from a main contract or development background only cannot be considered.

    Regarding software, our client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Power Project for planning / programming works. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools.

    I need Project Managers who have stable backgrounds, have delivered medium to large RC frames and are looking to work for the best of the best.

    About the Rewards:

    This business offers above average packages to ensure their staff are happy with their income and beyond this, to ensure they see this as a long term move when joining the company. Stability of employment and maintaining a low staff turnover is important in line with everything this business stands for.

    For this position we have been given a rough bracket of £90,000 to £110,000 per annum as the salary which will also include benefits and a structured bonus scheme on top. And we can consider individuals looking to be employed on a self-employed basis (including limited companies), as well as PAYE.
