    NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) plans and buys healthcare services for our local population.

    We are accountable for the performance and finances of the NHS across Norfolk and Waveney – a total budget of £2 billion a year.

    Our main offices are based at 8th Floor of Norfolk County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2UE however we have a local office for the East of the region based in Beccles and another in the West of the region based in King's Lynn, therefore travel across the Norfolk and Waveney footprint as well as out of county is required according to where our stakeholders are situated.

    Norfolk and Waveney ICB are delighted to be recruiting for a Workforce Project Support Officer to join our busy Workforce Transformation Team.

    This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience of working in recruitment or human resources to join a team working on projects designed to support those delivering care to patients and communities across Norfolk and Waveney.

    Norfolk and Waveney ICB is the organisation that co-ordinates the planning and delivering of health and social care services across Norfolk and Waveney.

    Our role is to bring the all the organisations who deliver health and social care together to solve problems and design processes that result in the our patients and communities receiving the best possible care.

    This includes thinking about identifying the best ways to work together to recruit, care for, train, develop and retain our workforce.

    The Workforce Project Support Officer role will work as part of a busy team looking at initiatives to support our partners across the system to recruit the best possible talent for Norfolk and Waveney, thinking about innovative ways to ensure that our staff are cared for and have opportunities to learn and progress their careers and deliver the activities that encourage staff keep working in the health and social care sector.

    You'll provide support at meeting and working groups helping to co-ordinate the actions that make change possible, tracking projects and actions through to outcomes.

    You'll have the opportunity to become involved in projects that look at recruitment, retention, training and development and staff engagement and well-being.

    The new NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board was formed on 1st July 2022.

    We are "clinically-led" which means NHS doctors and nurses take the decisions, supported by a team of experienced NHS managers.

    Much of our work is delivered in partnership with key stakeholders, including colleagues within localities and local providers such as our three acute hospitals, community trusts, independent providers and the voluntary and community sector.

    The Project Support Officer is a key role within the N&W ICB Workforce team.

    Working with the ICS People Director and ICS Workforce team, the post holder will help support programmes of work designed to integrate workforce planning across a system to ensure the delivery of comprehensive workforce development plans and use these to inform the development of the ICS and regional workforce strategy/People Plans.

    Support and, in some instances, lead the provision of workforce planning and contribute to ICB workforce projects and programmes of work.

    They will provide specialist knowledge and dedicated workforce support to the system acting as a change agent when appropriate.

    They will use their expert knowledge of recruitment, retention, and/or human resources to support the Workforce Transformation team and system partners to drive change forward.

    The post holder will work with designated system partner leads and Finance (including clinical and medical as well as operational) to support, challenge, and drive change.

    They will support services to complete strategic workforce programmes and create innovative workforce solutions to deliver and expand high quality care for patients.

    They will provide tools and access to data to support and inform workforce planning decisions.
    Support the development of workforce planning at a strategic level across an ICS system with a focus on supporting the development of a system workforce plan and transformation plan informed by the workforce modelling and provider workforce priorities
    Knowledge and experience of methodologies in workforce transformation
    Experience in managing programmes and projects through to delivery.
    Recruitment or Human Resources experience or training
    Commitment to quality of care; Hybrid Working
    The ICB operates a flexible approach to working. It is expected the majority of our staff will work from a combination of home and office (where possible).

    For staff designated in a hybrid role they should have a safe and suitable place to work with Broadband access and space for a desk, chair and monitors.
