    Description
    Business Development & Sales Consultant

    Our Client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development & Sales Consultant who will provide support for the commercial, marketing and sales activities to their existing team on a part-time basis and help drive sales on early stage technologies.

    With comprehensive experience and expertise in the space and defence industries, the Consultant will primarily be responsible for steering the sales strategy, enhancing sales processes, shaping pricing strategies, using their industry network for potential leads and leading Customer engagements when necessary.

    The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of space technology components such as deep-space exploration technologies, chemical and electric propulsion, radiation-hardened secure payload management units and cloud-based mission operations planning tools.


    Sales Strategy Support :
    Provide strategic advice and expertise to the business development team in planning and executing sales strategies and in identifying potential clients to maximise revenue
    Review current sales processes and methodologies, suggest improvements and assist in establishing efficient procedures aligned with industry standards and best practices

    Pricing Strategy :

    Support the team in developing competitive pricing strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis and the value proposition of products.

    Ensure the optimal pricing structure to drive sales and maximise profits

    Network Leverage :
    Use personal and professional network within the space and defence industry for potential leads. Support the team in networking events and industry conferences for business development opportunities

    Cross-Functional Collaboration :
    Collaborate with internal teams such as product, engineering, and marketing to align sales strategies with the company's objectives. Relay valuable field feedback to these teams for the potential development of new products or services

    Market Intelligence :
    Stay updated with the latest industry trends, competitor offerings and technological advancements. Impart this knowledge to the team to inform sales strategies and maintain their competitive edge

    Support the Director of Business Development to prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, pipeline analysis and progress towards sales targets.

    Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making
    Small company culture/lean processes and fast decision making
