    Description

    The Head of Tourism Partnership is a prominent role internally and externally and so we are looking for someone brilliant to join London & Partners and to lead this exciting area of the business.

    You will be responsible for leading all aspects of our Tourism Partnership Programme including partner engagement; business development; partner retention and strategic leadership in the sector. You will be responsible for leading a high performing team to deliver our commercial strategy for Tourism Partnerships.

    You will be a natural leader, who can bring passion, energy, creativity, and strategic commercial leadership to a well-established high-performing team. You will be self-motivated and pro-active, able to quickly build relationships with key partners; industry stakeholders and internal teams to deliver our commercial strategy for tourism partnerships. You will secure income from key organisations across the industry, deliver brilliant account management to all partners leading to high levels of partner satisfaction, advocacy, and retention.

    You will ensure that there is consistency and best practice in new business development and account management of partners. You will ensure that systems and processes are in place to deliver partner benefits, track partner satisfaction and maintain renewals. You will lead the team to deliver the commercial strategy. You will work closely with teams across London & Partners to analyse, refine and deliver the Partnership value proposition including Marketing, Visit London, London Convention Bureau, insights, and public affairs to deliver maximum ROI to partners.

    Key Tasks

    Leadership of the Tourism Partnership Team: motivate and inspire the team to ensure high performance, set clear commercial strategy, accountability and create a team culture of continuous personal development and learning.

    Create and lead the team in pro-active business development and account management by delivering:
    • A clear commercial strategy for business development that will deliver to ambitious income targets
    • A value proposition for partners that is aligned with industry needs
    • High levels of partner satisfaction and retention, translating into high rates of renewal, strong NPS scores and engagement
    • Creation and delivery of the sales plan to recruit new Strategic Tourism Partners and members to the programme, proactively targeting companies who are strategically aligned to London & Partners

    Systems, processes and protocols to effectively manage the schemes:

    • Communications including emails, members portal and digital channels
    • Create and deliver a programme of high quality and relevant live and digital events for Partners
    • Escalating specific partner issues to relevant Director
    • Invoicing and debt collection
    • Management reporting and performance against KPIs (e.g. revenue, pipeline management, attrition, referrals, satisfaction)
    • Driving efficiencies through process and systems improvements
    • Ensuring consistency and best practice across all partnership schemes

    Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, particularly the Visit London, Marketing, and the London Convention Bureau to:

    • Shape partnership value proposition and programmes to have benefits, tiers and pricing that strike the appropriate balance between mission and income.
    • Secure new partners
    • Deliver benefits and ROI to partners

    Work with the Finance Director and Director of Partnerships to set the income targets and business plan for the team, ensure budget responsibility and accountability.

    As a Head at London & Partners:
    • Work closely with other leaders in the Commercial directorate to create an inclusive and high-performing culture
    • Work with other Heads and the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the culture and performance of London & Partners
    • Demonstrate sector leadership externally and be a voice for London

    You'll have/bring

    • Knowledge of the tourism/ events industry
    • Strong experience in leading a high performing commercial team
    • A strategic mindset – able to understand changing internal and external context and adapt to continue to deliver income growth.
    • Leadership of commercial teams
    • Excellent account management and business development skills
    • Confident in leading commercial partnerships at the highest level
    • A creative commercial mindset – focused on solutions, delivering income, and identifying new commercial opportunities
    • Excellent written and oral presentation and pitching skills.
    • Experienced in holistic leadership of a business line - managing income and expenditure with a focus on profit
    • Experience of working in a public/private sector environment
