    OverviewPlural is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Research Associate to join our growing team.

    The successful candidate will support our team of experienced founders-turned-investors by conducting analytical, research-led dives within technology sectors to help deepen our thinking.

    About PluralPlural is an early-stage venture capital platform set up by founders and operators to back the most ambitious founders on a mission to change the world through technology.

    Our aim is to create globally successful tech companies and bend the trajectories of the startups we back by providing founders with world-class operational support and long-term thinking.

    We believe that tech companies can have GDP-level impact on Europe and support the companies we invest in to achieve that.

    ResponsibilitiesConducting deep dives on varied tech sector verticals (to assist with originating new investment opportunities)Identify and analyze emerging industry trends and market opportunities, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

    Perform detailed company research to assess potential investment opportunities, focusing on financial health, strategic positioning, and market potential.

    Documenting and communicating findings and recommendations to the investment team and partnersKeeping abreast of macro developments in the technology industry and providing updates to the teamAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and maintaining focus under tight deadlinesAs needed, manage and work with external subject matter experts to help with work in specific sector verticals (Please note that this hire will be an addition to our 10-person Platform team that supports our investment team; unlike other VCs, investment decisions at Plural will always be made by our founders-turned-investors).QualificationsA Bachelor's degree, MSc, or PhD in a relevant field.

    Ideally 3 years experience in a research or analytical role, ideally within management consulting or a related field.
    Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a natural curiosity to understand complex issues.

    Ability to use qualitative and quantitative research methods appropriate for a given taskProven ability to think outside of the box and come up with innovative ideas and solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with financial modeling and data analysis techniques.

    Familiarity with the technology industry and emerging trendsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentNext StepsPlural welcomes different backgrounds and education.

    Spending some years in management consultancy, with academic experience, is a plus but expect that we operate on much faster cycles to summarise and present your work.
