We are passionate about the net zero transition and provide industry-leading services to support the full lifecycle of clean energy projects.

    Our company Vision is to create a world powered by renewable energy; our Head of Grid role can contribute to this by providing a broad perspective on the transmission of renewable electricity, as well as in-depth knowledge in grid services.

    Whilst the primary focus is the UK market, we also collaborate with our colleagues in Ireland, France and the US where relevant.

    Main Tasks and Responsibilities

    Strategy Development & Delivery

  • Provide strategic focus for Natural Power's electricity grid services by working with the global business to advance our corporate offering in the electricity grid market.
  • Help the business identify and build technical competence to facilitate Natural Power's growth across the full project life cycle.
  • Develop & deliver the grid sector strategy as part of the Natural Power corporate strategy and execute the annual operating plan for the sector.
  • Innovation and Products & Services Development
  • Identify future trends and services that the ESO/ FSO will introduce and how Natural Power can commercialise these reforms.
  • Make the business case and manage the project execution of product & service developments.

    • Business Development & Marketing

  • Identify new grid services and opportunities; positioning the company to win upcoming opportunities.
  • Lead cross functional teams to secure new revenue, internationally and across the life-cycle phases.
  • Establish and manage relationships with strategic customers and suppliers.
  • Explore and develop partnerships to deliver expanded services.
  • Represent the business through thought leadership, conference attendance. masterclasses, to build market awareness and increase credibility and reputation.
  • Take an active involvement in grid working groups.
  • Provide assistance and training to Natural Power colleagues where relevant.
  • Management reporting on the sector.
  • Provide thought leadership and expert advice to clients and peers utilising your knowledge and expertise.
  • Input into the preparation, negotiation and delivery of proposals and contracts.

    • Team management

  • You will lead or support cross-disciplinary teams working in a matrix organisation to develop and deliver services to a range of clients and help drive the ongoing growth and expansion of Natural Power's grid business.
